Adventure and Opportunity

Our curriculum comes to life beyond the classroom. Our very own Forest School offers an exciting but safe outdoor space in which to explore and learn, while the Combined Cadet Force develops qualities of resilience, resourcefulness, leadership and responsibility. An exciting variety of trips, camps, clubs and sports enrich classroom learning for all our pupils.

Enrichment

We offer a large number of fun and engaging activities that take place each evening after school. Each term children are provided with a new timetable offering them many exciting opportunities to take part in. Timetables for the Autumn term can be found below.

Duke of Edinburgh Award (DofE)

The Duke of Edinburgh’s award at Gad’s Hill School has been a popular option for our young people for many years. Students have the opportunity to complete their Bronze (in U4) and Silver (in L5) awards while at school.

Not only does the award provide them with the chance to volunteer to help others, learn a new skill, and take part in a physical activity; they will also take part in overnight camping expeditions.

Through these activities, the Duke of Edinburgh’s award helps to build confident, resilient, adventurous young people. If you want to know more please visit https://www.dofe.org/ or contact Mrs Jago, DofE Manager.
