Trouser Uniform

• Pinafore – Cladish tartan pinafore (winter)
• Dress – Gad’s Hill regulation dress  (summer)
• Hats – Straw boater plus brown & gold ribbon (KR upwards)
• Cardigan – Brown
• Socks/Tights – Dark brown tights or brown socks (winter), short white socks (summer)

• Trousers – Dark brown long trousers (winter)
• Shorts – Dark brown shorts (summer)
• Hat – School cap in brown with school badge (KR upwards)
• Socks – Brown or black with long trousers (winter), brown socks with shorts (summer)

• KR-K2: Blazer – Brown wool with gold trim, school badge on pocket
• KR-K2: Shirt – Tussore (cream) buttoned (not open necked) – Long sleeved (winter); short sleeved (summer)
• KN: Long sleeved yellow polo buttoned top – Long sleeved (winter, all children) short sleeved (summer, over shorts)
• KN-K2: Jumper – Brown v-necked with gold trim
• KR-K2: Tie – House Ties – Haig (blue stripe), Wellington (green stripe), Beatty (red stripe). Ties to be worn sufficiently long enough to touch the waistband of skirt / trousers (Velcro or elastic)
• Shoes – Brown or black, traditional, low heeled (and polished)
• Sunhat – Maroon sun cap with Gad’s logo
• Optional – Black, waterproof coat with detachable lining (available from School Time)
• Optional for very cold weather – Brown knitted scarf with embroidered school badge (available from School Time) and brown or black woollen hat and gloves.

Please note: for Health & Safety reasons, all students’ hair should be worn off the face and tied up if longer than collar length. Please ensure all hair accessories are the School colours.

No cosmetics or jewellery to be worn, except (optionally) a digital or analogue watch (no Smart watches). No earrings or studs permitted.

All dress hems should be worn no higher than two inches above the knee.

Compulsory Bag: 

Maroon Bookbag only available from School Time – pupil’s initials in House colours will be embroidered on to the bag.

K2 pupils: to have a Gad’s pencil case, embroidered with their name in house colours, available from School Time.

Forest School Kit 

Uniform and Sportswear must be worn & maintained to a high standard. Children with threadbare, worn or damaged uniform will be expected to get it replaced.
