This post is suitable for a Teaching Assistant who is able to inspire children, who enjoys working as part of a
team and is committed to ensuring the best life chances for all children.

You will provide learning and personal support to pupils aged between 4 and 7 years old, either individually or in small groups, working alongside a class
teacher to deliver an excellent and inclusive education.

The ideal candidate will have:

– Sound working knowledge of child development and the EYFS/Key Stage 1 Curriculum;
– Experience of working with children aged 4-7 years;
– The ability to form positive relationships with children, parents and staff.
– Be energetic, positive, forward thinking and a highly motivated person.
– High expectations of themselves and our children.
– Good communication skills with an ability to record and report on children’s progress;
– A minimum of Grade C in English and Maths at GCSE Level and a relevant Level 3 Early Years Qualification
such as BTEC, CACHE, NVQ or NNEB or a Teaching Assistant Qualification;
– A Paediatric First Aid Certificate.

Visits to the school, prior to an invitation for interview, to meet
with Miss Wilson our Head of Kindergarten are most welcome.

1:1 SEN Support

Full-time

To assist in promoting the learning and personal development of the pupil to whom you are assigned,
to enable him/her to make best use of the educational opportunities available to them.

The ideal candidate will be able to:

– Aid the pupil to learn as effectively as possible both in a group situation and independently.
– Motivate and encourage the pupil(s) as required by providing levels of individual attention, reassurance
and help with learning tasks as appropriate to pupils’ needs, developing the child’s resilience and self-esteem.
– Assist in weaker areas, e.g. speech and language.
– Use praise, commentary and assistance to encourage the pupil to concentrate and stay on task.
– Liaise with class teacher, SENCO and other professionals about individual education plans (IEPs), contributing to the planning and delivery as appropriate.
– Provide additional nurture to individuals when requested by the class teacher or SENCO.
– Consistently and effectively implement agreed behaviour management strategies.
– Monitor the pupil’s response to the learning activities and, where appropriate, modify or adapt the activities
as agreed with the teacher to achieve the intended learning outcomes.

TERM TIME School Minibus Driver – Various Hours

FLEXIBLE TERM-TIME ONLY MINIBUS DRIVING OPPORTUNITY

We are looking to recruit a number of flexible minibus drivers, who will have the choice of a range of hours. Ideally we are looking for PERMANENT cover for our morning (6:30am to 8:30am) and evening (4pm to 6pm) minibus runs but there is also the opportunity for additional hours to cover other driving responsibilities – from short, local trips to day trips in the region.

As an independent school, our terms are shorter than state schools and core driving responsibilities will be for no more than 36 weeks per year.

Applicants must have category D1 on their driving licence – with or without the 101 endorsement. Due to insurance requirements, applicants must be at least 25 years of age, and have held their full driving licence for at least two years.
