Withdrawal/Absence

The agreement for the education of a pupil at the school may only be terminated by giving a FULL TERM’S NOTICE IN WRITING.  Notice must be given on or before the first day of the term failing which fees for the following term will be due in full and immediately.  There is no refund for absence, regardless of reason for absence.  Insurance against absence due to illness is strongly recommended through School Fee Remission Insurance (further details available from the Bursary).

Half a term’s notice in writing is required if your child wishes to stop having school lunches, music sessions, and chargeable Learning Support tuition or any extra-curricular activities involving a cost.

Fee Assistance

The School offers a range of fee assistance to enable as many children as possible to access the education offered at Gad’s Hill School even in situations where otherwise family circumstances or finances may preclude this.  For further information please contact the Bursary or click here to view the School’s Fee Assistance policy.

Extra-Curricular Activities

There are a large number of extra-curricular activities which operate each week and are supervised by school staff for which there is usually no charge.  Other activities are either supervised by outside agencies or use materials bought especially for the activity, consequently there is a cost involved and this will be passed on to those pupils attending the club. Please contact your child’s teacher to discuss which activities are available for that term and at what cost. Charged in arrears.

Music Lessons: The school is able to offer individual tuition in voice, piano and a range of other instruments.  If you would like your child(ren) to have individual music lessons the cost depends on the lesson/instrument taken.  The cost will be clarified at the time of booking.  The lessons take place during school time or, occasionally, out of school hours.  Charged in arrears.

LAMDA Tuition, Duke of Edinburgh and Other Extra-Curricular Activities: The school is pleased to offer a wide range of extra-curricular activities, details of which are available from your child’s tutor.  Costs and timings depend on a range of factors and are clarified at the time of booking.  Costs are invoiced termly in arrears for all activities other than Duke of Edinburgh, which is charged during the programme.
