For Kindergarten:  

Spanish in Kindergarten is a joyful introduction to language learning, designed to spark curiosity and build confidence. In KR, children learn through songs, games and practical play, developing listening and speaking skills in a fun, active environment. 

As pupils move into K1 and K2, we follow a cycle of listening, reading, speaking and writing activities. These are carefully planned to challenge each child at their level, encouraging steady progression and a love for language. We focus on short words, key phrases and everyday conversational Spanish that children can use and enjoy. 

Each topic is brought to life through catchy songs that help embed vocabulary and support memory. Children learn to talk about greetings, colours, numbers, shapes, animals, action verbs, instruments, days of the week, months, and seasons. 

Our teaching approach is playful, practical and inclusive. We celebrate effort and progress, encouraging all learners to have a go, take risks and explore new sounds. Spanish promotes listening, communication and cultural awareness which are key skills for success in our global world.
