Mr Kevin O’Brien LLM, MA, BA(Hons), NPQSL

Kevin was a newspaper journalist, radio presenter, bank clerk and hotel supervisor for many years in Ireland; however, he went to university as a mature student and then began his teaching career in Kent in 2001.

He has the following qualifications:

  • BA Hons Theology and English (University of Limerick)
  • MA Psychology of Religion (University of London)
  • LLM Human Rights Law (University College Galway)
  • National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership (National College for Teaching and Leadership)
  • Qualified Teacher Status (Graduate Teacher Programme, Canterbury Christ Church University)

Kevin was a Head of Year for eight years, Head of Philosophy and Theology for five years and Assistant Headteacher in a Bexley grammar school for four years before joining Gad’s Hill School.

Away from school, Kevin loves sport, especially rugby (union and league), golf, tennis, snooker and hurling. He also adores the cinema, quizzes, theatre, debating, writing poetry, photography, travel and reading.
