Creative Kindergarten children demonstrated their artistry and imagination by making colourful collages in this term’s after-school craft club.
The Year one and two classmates fashioned fairy tale houses and autumnal animal scenes at the weekly workshop, set up to promote team work, self expression and develop fine motor skills – as well as have lots of fun with friends!
Together, the five to seven-year-olds used different materials and techniques to construct some very impressive pieces featuring make believe castles and feathered friends.
Year Two form tutor, Mr Mike Patey, said: “Each week we experiment with various designs and inventions.
“Teaching a child to create something helps build their confidence and improve problem solving skills, as well as enabling them to be more resourceful. Solving artistic challenges helps children make correct and effective decisions.”
