What better way to celebrate the first day of Autumn than to learn about nature in your school’s very own Forest School?

Gad’s Hill’s Reception students found out about the changing seasons through play and story time in the woodland space, which is set in the school grounds.

The four to five-year olds enjoy regular guided craft and free play sessions in the relaxed and safe setting of the school’s natural outdoor educational environment.

Together, the classmates investigate and find their own way of gathering and processing information, which encourages both independence and team skills and boosts the confidence of all learners, regardless of their ability.

Today’s creative hands-on learning experience marks Autumn Equinox, when the days will get shorter and the nights longer until the winter solstice in December.
