Tickets are still available to book online for the Gad’s Hill Senior School performance of Oliver Twist, at 7pm on Wednesday and Thursday 12th and 13th of February.
Today our Seniors watched the actors rehearse.
Oliver Twist; or, the Parish Boy’s Progress is Charles Dickens’ second novel, and was first published as a serial from 1837 to 1839.
The story centres on orphan Oliver Twist, born in a workhouse and sold into apprenticeship with an undertaker. After escaping, Oliver travels to London, where he meets the “Artful Dodger”, a member of a gang of juvenile pickpockets led by the elderly criminal Fagin.
Months of hard work from our younger, and GCSE drama, Senior students, their teachers and professionals from the industry, will come together to bring the Dickensian novel to life in the great author’s very own home.
