Our CCF contingent worked alongside royalty at a science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) careers event.
Cadets from years eight to eleven attended the STEM Careers Showcase at the prestigious Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst – and so did HRH The Princess Royal!
The Queen’s only daughter joined Gad’s students at a specialist workshop aimed to provide young people with hands-on experience of working in the military.
The day featured interactive STEM-based interactive activities, business and military work-place information hubs and informal lectures from STEM role models. Aimed at 11-15 year-old boys and girls, who study CCF, it was a joint venture between the Army and industry to showcase the breadth of educational and career pathways into STEM careers for young aspiring students.
Head of Careers, Miss Sameena Rana said: “The Gad’s cohort came away believing they could do well in jobs that they may not have considered.
“They engaged really well in all the workshops and seminars and made the most of the expert advice on-hand too.”
