Creative Kindergarten children demonstrated their crafting skills by making colourful collages of a favourite nursery rhyme character.

The K1 and K2 classmates created the artwork at Gad’s after-school craft club, set up to promote team work, self expression and develop fine Motor skills – as well as have lots of fun with friends!

Together, the five to seven-year-olds used different materials and techniques to construct some very impressive pieces featuring Humpty Dumpty sitting atop his wall.

Year Two form tutor, Mr Mike Patey, said:  “Each week we experiment with various designs and inventions.

“Teaching a child to create something helps build their confidence and improve problem solving skills, as well as enabling them to be more resourceful.  Solving artistic challenges helps children make correct and effective decisions.”
