Shell pupil Fleur has been awarded the highest grade possible in a musical theatre examination, which is equivalent to a GCSE.

Fleur gained a distinction from Trinity College London after achieving 88% in the international exam board’s Grade 4 Musical Theatre programme.

12-year-old Fleur also gained a merit in Trinity’s Grade 4 acting assessment. The OFQUAL accredited practical and theoretical examinations test participants’ singing, acting, movement and integrative performance skills.

In recent months, Fleur has successfully completed several additional dance exams in various disciplines including street, lyrical, tap and ballet. The keen performer has also kept-up her busy dance competition schedule.

Gad’s drama teacher, Mrs Polly Bissett, said: “Fleur is a hard-working girl, dedicated to her craft and we are all very proud of her continuing accomplishments both in and out of school.
