Gad’s children come from all over the county, which is why a new private school-run service has been introduced for new and existing Junior and Senior students.
The Gravesham mini bus route is the latest in the school’s transport portfolio, which also includes King’s Hill, Longfield and Medway.
As well as safely collecting and returning our children before and after school, our fleet of mini buses can often be seen taking students and members of the community to events around the region.
In a typical week, our drivers will escort children to regular sports sessions at specialist centres, such as swimming pools, Cyclopark and cricket pitches. The mini buses are also used to attend PE fixtures with other schools.
As well as for sport, Gad’s mini buses take all year groups on educational and extra-curricular trips. Next week, our Year six class will visit Medway Magistrates Court to find out more about the law and justice system, following a recent enrichment week at school.
Our Combined Cadet Force contingent can often been seen making its way to camps, range days and parades in one of the Gad’s vehicles, accompanied by our very own Major in the driving seat!
Community events are very important to the Gad’s family. Recently, our Musical Director and one of his Junior musicians, complete with instruments, were driven to-and-from a local society’s AGM to perform a concert.
One of our most popular dates in the academic year is the ‘Gad’s Pensioners’ Tea Party’. The coveted get-together sees the school host an afternoon of entertainment after a Pimm’s reception, with guests provided with a door-to-door service courtesy of a school mini bus.
