Our Year 2 class spent an evening under the stars before bedding-down in the sports hall at their very first Forest School sleepover.
Led by Forest School leader Mrs Marshall, the classmates, and teachers, took part in outdoor activities including den building and cooking marshmallows over an open fire.
Head of Kindergarten, Miss Victoria Wilson, said: “As well as having fun with friends, the children learned new teamwork skills and strengthened their own confidence and independence their behaviour, as always, was impeccable.
“Putting-up tents and helping to prepare breakfast allowed the K2 classmates to test their organisational abilities – and show resilience against the elements!”
As night drew-in, and after camp fire songs and a Domino’s pizza supper, the six to seven-year-olds set-up camp in tents indoors and were greeted by proud parents the next morning.
