Cadets from Gad’s Hill were honoured to represent their school at a celebration to mark the inauguration of the new Mayor of Gravesham at the weekend.
Cadet Corporal Ciara Bruce and Cadet Sergeants Cicely Barnes and Libby Robinson provided the Guard of Honour and flag party at a civil service for Cllr Gurdip Ram Bungar and Mayoress Nanjo Kaur Bungar.
Gad’s CCF Contingent Commander, Major Mark Lamb, said: “The day was an opportunity for Gad’s to show its support of the local community and continue to strengthen our strong links with Gravesham Council.
“As always, I am proud of how well the cadets performed their duties, their impeccable behaviour at public events and their willingness to represent Gad’s outside of school hours.”
After the service, at St. George’s Church Gravesend, Mayor Bungar expressed his thanks to the cadets before spending time talking with them and previous mayors who also attended the ceremony.Posted on
