Our Year three students have been learning more about rivers in Gad’s very own Forest School.
The seven to eight-year-old cohort was tasked with making a natural flowing watercourse from natural materials, as part of this term’s topic on weather and the water cycle.
Form tutor, Mrs Ravinder Sandhu, said: “The Forest School was the perfect place for the children to explore together and discover all the resources they needed.
“They were able to see first-hand just how a river is formed and I was very impressed with their knowledge on its different parts when we talked about what we had found out back in the classroom.”
The class will continue their Geographical studies with a field trip to Horton Kirby to explore the River Darent.
