Well done to our Lower 5ths who were triumphant in this year’s ‘Leavers v Stayers’ netball match.

Despite strong defence from Y11 opponent Robert H. and fast-paced centre play by Joe F., the older athletes weren’t able to halt the strong opposition from their peers.

This year saw boys representing the U5th side for the first time, after learning the match rules and applying skills acquired from other sports to fully-embrace the game of netball.

In the 1st quarter the ‘Stayers’ established a strong lead of 6-1, with Maisie H. scoring well and Grace H. playing confidently in Centre position.

The ‘Leavers’ managed to score only one more goal because of the excellent defensive play by Ciara B. and Amelia M.

The ‘Stayers’’, attacking play gained even more momentum in the second half of the game with Amy S. scoring well.

It was an extremely impressive performance from the ‘Stayers’ but the ‘Leavers’, led by Sophie HG. and Scarlett R. did not give up. The final score was 15-2 win to the ‘Stayers’.
