Spanish students from years 7-9 are enjoying a four-day educational break to Barcelona this week.
Today, the 29-strong cohort had their first specialist Spanish lesson, to help improve their conversational skills, before heading-off to ‘Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Família’, a Roman Catholic church designed by Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí.
Tomorrow’s itinerary includes another session at Enforex Language School, where the students will practice what they learn today and ask questions about Spanish history and culture, before taking a guided tour of Nou Camp, the home stadium, and largest in Spain and Europe, of FC Barcelona.
The group will end their whistle-stop tour of beautiful Barcelona at PortAventura theme park tomorrow, where thrill-seekers can ride ‘Shambhala’, a rollercoaster with a 76 metre drop!
While in Barcelona the Gad’s group is staying at the brand new BCN Sport Hostel, close to the City centre in the trendy Gracia neighbourhood.
This trip follows the school’s very successful and popular city-break to Madrid.
