Year 8 and 9 students represented Gad’s at this year’s UK Maths challenge team regional competition.
The four-strong squad of Alfie M, Mac F, Sukhmanvir A and Lewis B competed against 23 other local schools in four rounds consisting of tough mathematical problems, shown in the photographs.
Head of Maths, Mr Richard Harris, said: “Gad’s students performed well and were really tested on some tough mathematical tasks.
“A room filled with 96 keen mathematicians eagerly trying to solve problems was quite a sight to behold!”
In the fiercely competitive environment of top grammar schools, independent and state schools the victorious side was Tonbridge School in partnership with Hilden Grange.
