Our Year one class has been learning to tell the time this morning.
Each of the five to six year-olds used a mini timepiece to show o’clock and half past times and took turns to answer questions about what the sides of the clock and hands represent.
Class teacher and Head of Kindergarten, Miss Victoria Wilson, said: “The children have really enjoyed finding out about different types of clocks and working in groups to figure out the time.
“I am so impressed with how quickly they have progressed since starting our time topic on Monday – today we have even talked about quarter to and quarter past, as well as clockwise and anti-clockwise.
“As well as demonstrating beautiful listening skills, the class has been quizzing each other, and me, about what time it is and has made such a strong start to their ongoing learning about time.”
