Our Reception children made their very own pizzas in a restaurant this week as part of this term’s studies on continents.
The classmates visited Pizza Express in Bluewater where they helped prepare the dough and choose toppings for an Italian feast.
While lunch was cooking, what better way to wait than with a visit to Build-A-Bear. The students were thrilled to be able to create their very own class teddy. ‘Rainbow’ will go home with a different child each week and help them write a diary about their adventures together.
KR teacher Mrs Rebecca Heustice, said: “This week we have been learning about Europe and finding-out what different foods people eat and how they are prepared – what better way to understand than to have a go at making a national dish of Italy yourself!
“Visiting Build-A-Bear is somewhat of a tradition in the first school year at Gad’s. The children take a real pride telling the class how the bear joined-in with their family life.”
