More than half of our Year nine students are taking part in a six-week cycling programme as part of their PE lessons this term.

The 22-strong group will travel to purpose-built cycling facility, Cyclopark in Gravesend as part of a new initiative where the cohort is invited to choose, and take part in, different sports.

Cyclopark features a world-class BMX track, road track and mountain bike trail and the 13-14 year-olds are receiving professional coaching from British Cycling coaches in all three disciplines.

Gad’s PE teacher Mr Ben McDowell, said: “This course is a fantastic opportunity for our students to try out a new sport, learn new skills or improve on their current cycling competency, ability and knowledge at a quality complex which is right on our doorstep.”
