Our Kindergarten children took part in a superheroes drama workshop yesterday – and learned more about the environment.
Classmates worked together to train as different comic-strip characters to help save Planet Earth in a series of interactive sessions run by Perform For Schools, the primary school division of Perform – the UK’s leading provider of drama, dance and singing workshops for 4-12 year olds.
KN-K2 classes were challenged to go on a high-energy mission to help solve an eco-crisis, learning how to reduce, re-use and re-cycle on the way, as well as understanding the important role we all have in preserving the Earth’s resources.
Key Stage 1 Curriculum Group Leader and K2 Form Tutor Mr Mike Patey, said: “From a young age, Gad’s students have regular performing arts lessons.
“Yesterday’s activities helped further develop their confidence and social skills in a fun and lively way.
“The children were engaged and enthused and I was impressed by the leader’s teaching skills and, of course, dramatic flair!”
