Head of Juniors and class teacher, Mrs Cullen, encourages her students to visit the ‘Autonomy Wall’ and ‘help themselves’ during lessons.
The Gad’s resource features information which promotes independent thinking, resulting in two-tiered class work.
Mrs Cullen said: “By referring to our bright and colourful list of grammar and vocabulary ideas, the children can amend and enhance their work independently.
“On marking their finished pieces, I have been very impressed by how well the cohort is using the aptly-named wall.
“Teaching children to be autonomous learners prepares them for their future education as well as accelerating progress now.”
