Today marks a full working month for our youngest Seniors – and they have certainly embraced life at Gad’s.

The 30-strong Year seven ‘Shell’ cohort has made new friends, joined after-school clubs and of course, worked hard in lessons:

Head of English and Shell W Form Tutor, Mr Paul Wadey, said: “I am extremely impressed at how well the students have settled in to the Gad’s community.

“It is a joy to receive emails from members of staff whom have given distinctions to my tutor group as they have been working to the best of the ability.”

Kyle Alden, of Shell W, said: “I really enjoy taking part in all the different classes – we get to do so many different things, in groups and working alone.”

Shell R student, Ava Bond, said: “My timetable is great! Maths and English are taught in a way that is challenging but still fun and my form tutor is also the teacher of my favourite subject – drama.”

Drama teacher and Shell R Form Tutor, Mrs Chenaie Roberts said: “It’s great to see so many Shells taking part in the school production – a first audition for some.

“I am looking forward to the forthcoming year and watching the Shell students blossom into Gadshillians.”

Here’s a snapshot of Gad’s Shells’ during the first few weeks at school.
