Four Seniors have been awarded medal places in an inter-schools art contest.

GCSE student Ella B., 15, and 13 year-old Christopher J. ranked highest in their age groups in drawing category of the London and South East ISA Art Competition.

Ella’s winning piece was a Pointillism (a painting technique where small, distinct dots of colour are applied in patterns to form an image) portrait of a dog.

Christopher’s entry, ‘Tiger’ also impressed the judges and he was announced winner of the KS3 classification.

Classmates Eden M. and Mac F. were also awarded second and third places respectively for their coloured pencil interpretations of a skull and peppers.

Art teacher Miss Baker said: “I am thrilled for them and they thoroughly deserve their success.

“The pieces reflect their talent and dedication and are a testament to their hard work in art class.”

Ella and Christopher’s entries will now go forward to the national competition.
