Three Juniors took medal places at a regional athletics championship when a 25-strong Gad’s squad took part in the contest last week.

Along with 20 other independent schools, students from Years 4-6 competed in a series of track and field events at the South East ISA qualifiers in Bromley.

For many, this was their first time representing the school and Head of PE, Mrs Julia Gunnill, commended all team members on their enthusiasm, manners and efforts.

Three of the eldest competitors won medals for their achievements: Grace W., gold in shot and bronze in rounders ball throw; Keira H., gold in 80m and silver in 150m sprints; Oliver L. silver in 150m sprint.

Well done to Year 5’s Madeline M., who just missed-out on a medal in the 150m sprint when she finished fourth.

Good luck to Grace and Keira, who will go on to join the London/South East ISA team at the National championships in Birmingham later this month.
