Our K1 and K2 classes spent a day at Leeds Castle finding out more about plants and animals.
The students followed a trail path and took part in an interactive workshop to learn how the many different species of animals and plants flourish in the castle grounds.
After seeing the wildlife in their own habitat, the Gad’s cohort designed and sculpted their very own clay owl to take back to school.
Year two teacher Mr Patey said: “The day really helped bring to life this term’s topic on living things and will benefit our classroom studies in art, design, science and English.
“The children were impeccably behaved as always, and staff, and visitors to the castle complimented us on their manners and attitude to learning.”
