Our Seniors found out more about robots, rockets and predators at The Big Bang UK Young Scientists & Engineers Fair.

The event is the largest celebration of science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) for young people in the UK.

The Gad’s students spent a full day taking part in interactive workshops and watching theatre shows – favourite exhibits included ‘The Super-Intelligent High-Tech Robot Show’, ‘Rocket Factory – The Great British Blast-Off!’ and ‘Feather, Fur and Fun with Predators’.

Here are some of our students’ highlights of the day:

“I got to hold a barn owl and learn how it hunts.”   Freddie, U4B

“There were so many things to explore and invent, on your own and in groups.”  Liberty, ShH

“I was interested to find out where my centre of mass is – and to hold a giant snake.”  Mac, ShH.
