Gad’s teachers championed over a Y11 squad in the annual Wellington football tournament final.

A tense match, that saw Captain Cameron M. forced to sit out towards the end, resulted in a goalless draw with the staff side winning three goals to two on penalties.

All players tackled remarkably well but it’s the second consecutive year that staff have defeated the top Seniors on the pitch.

Head of Wellington Seniors, and Mathematics teacher Miss Rana said:  “As always, the game was well supported by all Houses, friends and family.

“For our Shell students this is their first tournament and they really enjoyed representing their House and playing against older peers – and teachers of course!”

Six teams took part over two pitches and the group stages saw both finalists face tough opposition from L5 and U5 line-ups.

Thank you to L5 referees Matt D. and Oliver T..
