Our new year sevens have been welcomed to Gad’s houses in a graduation ceremony to mark their successful completion of an innovative induction programme.

The youngest Seniors have been paired-up with year 11 mentors since the start of term to help them settle and thrive and parents were invited to a special assembly to mark the occasion.

Head of Senior School Mr Savage said:  “Starting a new school can be daunting.  I have always been impressed with how our children develop and maintain friendships regardless of age and our induction focuses on the older children supporting younger ones.”

The pairs have worked together to complete the term-long syllabus which includes personal, social and academic challenges and were presented with their house ties as an acknowledgement and reward for their efforts and achievements.

Mr Savage added:  “The induction process is testament to the Gad’s community and I’m proud of their commitment and enthusiasm.”
