Three Gad’s students ranked in the top three at this year’s Independent School Association’s (ISA) athletics final.
One of the youngest in his group, L5H’s Ed threw an impressive 39.42 metres in the Y10/11 javelin contest.
Ella of J5C finished the girls’ Y5 75 metre sprint in 11.82 seconds, missing the top spot by just three quarters of a second.
And well done to our youngest athlete, J4’s Keira, who took gold in the Y4 60 metre race and was crowned national champion.
Games teacher Mr Jelfs said: “Five Gad’s pupils won a place at the national and all performed brilliantly.
“To take home three medals was an outstanding achievement and gave the team a real boost – they are now looking forward to competing for a place next year.”
ISA Sport offers 24 national sporting events each academic year, open to all academic schools across the country. New events this year included skiing, sailing, Clay Pigeon Shooting and Judo.Posted on
