As the UK prepares to vote either to remain in or leave the European Union, Gad’s Hill joins the debate and will hold a referendum for Senior students this Friday.

Two Senior boys led this morning’s assembly with impressive speeches, after volunteering to research and present the arguments for and against.

James S of L4R spoke about the reasons why we should stay in the EU, while U4B’s James DD gave his findings on why we should leave.

After their address, Mr Wadey chaired a Q&A session where the candidates answered pressing questions from a very well-informed and demanding crowd of peers.

Topics covered included immigration, trade and financial investments.

Results of the Gad’s vote will be announced on Friday afternoon.

Good luck to both representatives.
