Gad’s youngest students put on a special show just for their mums at the school’s Mother’s Day service.

Children from the nursery, kindergarten and junior classes took to the stage to entertain their proud guests of honour with a mix of poems, readings and songs.

Each child wore a lovingly hand-made crown with words and pictures representing what their mum means to them.

Highlights of the day were year two’s rendition of the hilarious rhyme ‘My mum makes disgusting spaghetti’, which was met by rapturous applause from the audience and hearing each year one child explain what makes their mum so lovely – including ‘giving a hug everyday’, ‘taking me to football’ and helping me with homework’.
