Year 10 cadets Shayla and Lewis had a little trouble with mud on Summer House Hill.
Along with other L5 cadets, they spent the weekend learning new skills during a development weekend at Folkestone’s St Martin’s Plain.
The classmates were given instruction in map and compass and drill as well as being put through their paces on the camp’s obstacle course.
The weekend was designed to give cadets a real sense of what is expected from them if they wish to progress in rank in our contingent and so as well as having fun they were expected to maintain their billets, dress and behavior to the highest standards.
The weekend was challenging and tested the cadets abilities, moral courage and teamwork skills. Officers and staff were not disappointed and over the three days witnessed some fantastic efforts from the pupils involved.Posted on
