Beatty volunteers have given up their holiday to spend the day painting – as part of a plan to improve the House’s bag rack area.
The eleven seniors are making-over the bag racks and benches following the House’s steering group’s decision to make the area a nicer place to be, and strengthen Beatty’s identity.
Head of Beatty Mr Wadey said: “The project is all down to the children – they had the idea and were happy to put the hard work in too.
“I was happy to come along and lend a hand and provide the donuts for the workers of course!”
The next stage of the renovation is to plant red geraniums in honour of Charles Dickens’ favourite flower.
