Our Senior school students performed Grease, the musical to a packed audience of parents, pupils and guests this week.

Danny, Sandy and the gang from Rydell High belted out classics such as ‘Grease Is The Word’ and ‘Summer Nights’ to a rapturous response and performed polished dance routines at the burger palace, school gym and drive in, all lovingly created on the school stage by staff and students.

Accompanying the cast was the school’s Director of Music John Stone on piano, ably assisted by Oliver Taylor from L4S on drums – both received a standing ovation for their fantastic musical abilities.

Headmaster David Craggs said:  “Our children have yet again put on an outstanding show – their hard work and dedication never falters.

“We are so lucky at Gad’s to have such a professional production team – our drama teacher and choreographer are both well practiced in treading the boards and our older students shadow our technology team meaning they are able to be part of the show off-set too.

“But the unsung heroes are, and always have been, our staff, parent helpers and students who have given up so much of their time making sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

“And seeing so many of our Junior school students in the crowd with their families, as well as former pupils and the many friends of the school was wonderful – a huge thank you to everyone for helping to make our school about so much more than just good results.”
