School celebrates with Royal Wedding party!
Kindergarten pupils, teachers and parents brought glamour and sparkle to the School, honouring the union of Prince William and Kate Middleton with a garden party complete with afternoon tea, ‘red, white and blue’ celebrations, party outfits and games.
Activities during the party included a relay race to traditional wedding music, British food fayre - such as strawberries, jam and scones - and dancing.
Elsewhere, the friends of Gad’s Hill School organised a pin the crown on the princess competition, offered face-painting and sold home baked cakes.
Head of Gad’s Hill School Kindergarten Lucy Holgate said: “We’ve had a right royal atmosphere this afternoon, ahead of the big day itself.
“All the children were invited to come along dressed as a prince, princess or wearing a wedding outfit and everyone has got into the spirit of the Royal Wedding, dressing in their patriotic clothes and waving flags!
“We just hope William and Kate enjoy their special day as much as the children here have enjoyed ours.”
