School trips and visits are an essential part of learning where children can extend all that they have learnt in the classroom.
Throughout the school year we have several visitors to support our classroom topics. The emergency services, road safety officers, parents and members of the local community from a variety of backgrounds and cultures come to talk to the children to enhance their understanding of the world around them. There are also annual Maths, Music, Drama and Spelling competitions and a variety of fund raising activities. Our house system encourages co-operative links between all year groups - and the Kindergarten and Senior School - and nurtures a sense of team spirit, competition and fun.
Junior School Children are regularly taken on trips and visits outside of the school’s grounds, from cultural excursions to going to watch major sporting events.
We also offer Residential visits for our older children. These are eagerly anticipated each year and have included trips to France and Activity Centres in Wales, Isle Of Wight and Ashford. We believe that residential trips are of enormous benefit to children. Not only are they useful for learning and enjoying each others company outside the school, they also provide fantastic opportunities to learn vital skills, such as the value of teamwork, in a practical environment.
