"PLEASE SIR": The audience could be asking for more when Gad's Hill School pupils perform the musical Oliver!

Follow orphan Oliver through dangerous Victorian London, where life is rough and real friends hard to come by, as he negotiates his way from orphanage to his true family.

This much-loved musical, based on Dickens' novel - performed on the 200th anniversary of the great authors birth -  features classics As Long As He Needs Me, Food Glorious Food, Consider Yourself, the rambunctious Oom Pah Pah and the plaintive Where Is love. You will be amused and saddened, leaving the auditorium humming some of the most popular songs in musical theatre history.

Gad’s Hill School has a strong affiliation with the author who provided the inspiration for this musical, as Charles Dickens made Gad’s Hill Place – the School’s current residence - his home in 1857, where he penned his classic novels “Great Expectations” and “A Tale of Two Cities” until his death in our dining room 1870.

This is the first major production Gad's Hill School has put on at the Woodville Halls.
