Safe Cycling
Members of the school’s Remove classes took part in the KentRider Safer Cycling Course this week.
The course is designed to provide children with the skills necessary to ride their bikes safely on the roads around Kent. During the day students learnt, amongst other things, how to cross the road whilst on their bikes, give clear hand signals when turning into a road, and most important how to predict the actions of others based on what they see and hear, and how to be alert and safe in busy traffic.
The KentRider scheme is similar to the Cycling Proficiency courses of the past and is a great way to get kids away from their Playstations and out in the countryside on their bikes!
Congratulations to all those who took part and passed, we expect to see you out and about on your bikes whilst the weather is good.
