Belgium Rugby Tour

Twenty nine pupils and four members of staff made the trip across the channel for our annual Belgium rugby and netball tour at the British School of Brussels (BSB) in Leuven.

As with previous years students stayed with host families and took part in matches on both the Saturday and Sunday.

On Saturday the school took on the BSB and two local sides in a group of training games followed by two further matches against the BSB on Sunday. Sadly the boys did not come home victors but showed a real improvement in their rugby as the weekend went on, coming home a much stronger side than the one that left England at 7am on Friday.

The girl's netball squad began the weekend losing their first came, but were determined not to go home without a victory and won their second match.

Thank you to Mr. Jelfs, Mr. Matthews, Mrs. Gunnill and Miss. Bassett for giving up their weekend to take the teams to Belgium and to all the students who took part , who as always were excellent ambassadors for Gads’ Hill.
