C2C - we made it !

18 cadets took on the challenge of the 140 mile Coast to Coast cycle ride over the half term break. The ride began in Workington on the west coast of England, cycling across the Lake District and The Pennines, finishing the ride at the Millennium Bridge in Gateshead, just short of the east coast.

The Coast to Coast is regarded as one of the hardest cycling routes in the UK with its many off road climbs, narrow pathways and often less than pleasant weather, despite this every student completed the ride and did so with a smile on their faces.

For many cadets this was also an opportunity to raise money for their house charity and we will post an update of funds raised in the near future.
