Gad's pupil awarded Army Scholarship

Congratulations to Upper 5th Pupil James Barrett who has secured himself an Army Sixth Form Scholarship. James, who is the School’s CCF Senior Cadet, took part in a three day selection process known as the Army Officer Selection Board, he will now be sponsored by the Army through his sixth form and university education, and has guaranteed himself a place at Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.

James said, ‘It was the toughest 3 days of my life so far, both physically and mentally, however I can’t tell you how fantastic it is to know that I have got through and that in 5 years time I will be going to Sandhurst to train for my dream job'.

James has worked extremely hard during his CCF career at Gad’s and it is a testament to this hard work, and his maturity and enthusiasm that he has been awarded this army scholarship and we wish him all the best for the future.
