A musical end to the Spring Term
The Spring Term ended in spectacular style with the school’s annual ‘Spring Music Festival’. For the first time in 9 years the event was divided in two, with a Kindergarten and Junior competition and a senior event, later in the evening .To describe the events as anything less than outstanding would be wrong. From the solos to the ensemble pieces the performances were enthusiastic, confident and highly entertaining.
As with any competition winners had to be chosen from the large pool of talent and the following children walked away with trophies at the end of the night. In the KG and Junior School Competition the Lady Brighouse Trophies for best boy and best girl went to Anthony Cambridge and Olivia Thompson, Robert Hunt was the overall winner. The Hunt Trophies for the best Senior School boy and girl were won by Matthew Crane and Abbie Meade and the overall winner from the our senior school musicians was Alex Relf.
Our thanks goes to the adjudicator on the night Flight Lieutenant Gil Singleton MGCI, Music Operations Manager for CVQO, who as the former principal percussionist for the RAF was delighted to see how accomplished many of our percussionist were.
