Chinese New Year Celebrations

Yesterday members of the Kindergarten and Junior school enjoyed a day of everything Chinese, from lessons studying the Chinese Culture to lantern building, Chinese music and a fantastic Chinese lunch.

The highlight of the day by far though was a visit from ‘The Medway Dragon and Lion Dance Sports Association’ who performed for all the children in the school hall.

Mrs. Marsh said,‘ They were absolutely incredible and a real treat for not only the students but for our members of staff as well. Following their performance at Gad’s the dancers will be performing to the Queen at Buckingham Palace on Monday so we felt quite honored to see them perform for us’

The association's ‘Master’ who danced for the students is the ‘Lion Dancing World Champion’, so as you can well imagine the display our students witnessed yesterday was probably an example of the best Lion Dancing in the world.
