A Christmas Celebration that Dickens would be proud of.

The school ended the Autumn term with two fantastic Christmas celebrations. First was the Kindergarten Nativity at The Royal Dockyard Church, Chatham. This year the pupils performed ‘Christmas Praise’ a traditional Nativity Play but with the addition of some fantastic music and dancing.

Jennie Marsh, Head of the Junior School said, ‘I say this every year, but I am always amazed by how well our children do at remembering their lines, many of them remembering not just their own lines but everyone else’s too! The Kindergarten Nativity sums up what Christmas is about and for all our parents it’s a time to be immensely proud of their children’

The Carol Service provided an opportunity for the whole of the Gad’s community, pupils, parents, staff and Governors, to come together and celebrate Christmas in Rochester Cathedral. This year our school choir excelled themselves, a testament to the hard work and enthusiasm of our Director of Music John Stone. Our thanks should also go to the Gravesend Salvation Army Band, who yet again captured the spirit of Christmas with their spectacular Christmas Medley.

The Autumn term is our longest term and both our pupils and staff deserve a well earned break before returning to school on January 6th 2009.

Happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year!
