Seventeen cadets took part in the annual ‘Big Day Out’ Festival in Gravesend, last weekend.
The cadets joined members of the Sea cadets, Marine Cadets and Air training Corps at the New Tavern Fort, where they manned an interest stand, introducing members of the public to the types of activities that out cadets take part in during their CCF training. Gad’s cadets were also on ‘meet and greet’ duties around the venue, welcoming members of the public to what was a fantastic and gloriously sunny event.
Thanks to all the cadets and staff who took part in the day and we are looking forward to putting on an even bigger and better display next year.

Rumble in the Jungle
The Kindergarten enjoyed a jungle themed Sports Day this week. The Blue Baboons ( Haig), the Red Rhinos ( Beatty) and the Green Gorillas (Wellington) took each other on across a series of exciting challenges including the ‘Monkey Puzzle’ the ‘Grab a Gorilla’ and the ‘Lizard Launch’.
Well done to Beatty who were the overall champions on the day.
The Junior School and Senior School also had their Sports Days this week, although they tested their speed and agility with some more traditional track and field athletics .
The winners of the Junior School event were Wellington and Beatty won again at the Senior School Sports Day.
One question remains, who will be the overall winner of the ‘House Shield’ this year? Find out at the Senior Prize Giving Service on July 16th.
