K2 ‘kids’ spend the day looking after goats

Our Year two class spent time at a goat shelter this week to find out more about caring for animals.

The classmates visited Buttercups Sanctuary for Goats in Maidstone, where they learned what goats eat, where they sleep and how they spend their time roaming the fields and playing.

While there, the children enjoyed grooming and feeding the friendly animals and the highlight of the day was adopting new goat friend ‘Midnight’, on behalf of Gad’s, for a whole year.

Buttercups is the only registered goat Charity in the United Kingdom whose sole aim is to provide relief to goats that have suffered or no longer have a home.

Set in ancient parkland the Sanctuary provides animals that have suffered so much with a safe and loving home for the rest of their lives.
