Children and parents from local primaries enjoyed an evening of science fun at Gad’s Hill School.
More than 20 families joined Senior students and staff from the independent day school, for girls and boys from 3-16, in the school’s auditorium which had been transformed into an interactive laboratory.
Mrs Su Matthews and her son Thomas, 10, from Meopham Community Academy took part in the many challenges on offer and Mrs Matthews was particularly impressed with the Gad’s pupils: “We were made to feel very welcome and the host children encouraged visitors to be hands-on.
“The ‘hovering paperclip’ and ‘nifty balloon trick’ were firm favourites with everyone but it was the explosion from the Science master’s experiment that Thomas talked about on the way home!”
Head of Science Mrs Claire Fletcher said: “It was a really fun learning event. As always, our students did Gad’s proud by making sure all the young guests came away experiencing how fascinating Senior School science is.”
